Your Personal Town Guide
West Yorkshire
A picturesque market town on the river Wharfe close to Leeds, Harrogate and York. The Town Hall of 1845 dominates the Market Place. Close-by is the Shambles built in 1811 as a row of ten butchers shops. In the summer it is a beautiful town to walk around with its award winning gardens and numerous specialist shops. The racecourse is about a mile from the town centre.
